I just started trying it couple of days ago and have really liked it. I can feel it working already BUT I have also noticed something odd. My readings go up after a yoga session, which is unlike other exercises which usually send my levels down. I thought after the first time that it was a fluke but it happened again tonight and I'm talking like a 20 point gain here! A couple of times, too, I felt kind of light headed while doing the breathing parts--like too much oxygen or something

Anyone else experience this? Any ideas why?

I don't do yoga and couldn't tell you why your BS is going up. I know stress can raise it are you anxious or nervous doing this? Think it's best to talk to your doctor, if your having dizzy spells with it.

Think I might have found an answer--maybe....

Someone on a diabetic board suggested that exercising muscles--particularly large muscle groups--that I hadn't worked out in a long, long, time could be causing my body to release glucose as a response. Since there is no corresponding intense calorie burn (I was doing relatively light impact yoga that involved mainly stretching, etc.) to use up the increased glucose, it could have resulted in an increase of glucose and an increased reading. Makes sense anyway.

My level did drop after a couple of hours again, so will try it again in a couple of days and see what happens. I don't want to give it up--just doing it for two days made a big difference in the soreness and tiredness brought on by riding my bike.
