Santa brought me a punching bag for Christmas and a pair of kickboxing gloves. My knuckles hurt after 10-15 minutes using the kickboxing gloves. Should I get boxing gloves to protect my hands better? Any suggestions.

I found a pair for about $40 at Walmart and they work perfectly for me. If you're punching hard, you may want to look into buying hand wraps to protect your hands a bit more.0

Are you using wraps or quick wrap gloves under them?0

For one, make sure you use a good wet of wraps every time you use the heavy bag. They help stabilize your wrists and provide additional protection for your knuckles. If you still don't feel your gloves have enough padding, look into some heavy bag gloves. My standard pair is a set of Rivals and they've held up quite well over the past few years.0

Looks like I need to do a little research on wraps!0

If you don't plan on doing any type of actual fighting, I would really go with the quick wrap gloves better protection, and a million times easier to use.0

12-16oz cheap everlast gloves and wrap your hands if you plan on hitting the bag hard at all.
I suggest mexican hand wraps. They've served me really well.0
