i think I'm retaining water. not sure why though. I'm noticing some swelling in my ankles and wrists/hands (I don't know what causes water retention) how can i get rid of it? I'm breast feeding so it has to be safe for my milk. is there a way to know for sure that its water retention? if its not that, what else could it be?

Watch your sodium... that's my problem, if I go over, I swell up! So lower your salf intake and drink lots of water.
  • Sometimes your body retains water if you aren't drinking enough fluids...
  • Artificial sweeteners like high fructose corn syrup, aspartme, splenda, etc can retain water. They are chemicals foreign to your body, and stay in your cells. Since your body doesn't want them, but they stick around in your cells, your body holds onto water to dilute whatever foreign chemicals are in your system.
