Tex Mex Restaurant Calories

Hi, I'm going to a tex mex restaurant tomorrow, never been to one before, I've tried searching the food database, but it doesn't seem to come up with much.
Does any one have any rough guesses of the calories in any meals that may possibly be available on a typical tex mex menu?
I'm guessing they're going to be quite high!
Thanks everyone :-)

If you don't eat out regular I say go enjoy it! Devils advocate! :-P0

If you don't want to blow up your calorie count, try to find something that doesn't come in a tortilla or smothered in cheese. Grilled chicken and steak qualify. If you want a tortilla, I tend to choose fajitas or shrimp tacos. And be wary of the margaritas - those calories are sky high!0

We tend to eat at a lot of local joints, so it's difficult to pin down the calorie count. I try to enter the ingredients individually, to get a closer idea of what I'm consuming. I also try to eat less throughout the day before going out.0

Probably the closest thing to Tex/Mex in a chain would be Chili's. They do list their nutritional information: http://www.chilis.com/EN/LocationSpecificPDF/MenuPDF/001.005.0000/Chilis Nutrition Menu Generic.pdf?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1
Hacienda is another small chain: http://www.haciendafiesta.com/images/downloads/nutrition-2012.pdf
Generally, fajitas are a decent choice, especially if you can get soft corn tortillas instead of flour. I LOVE leftover fajita meat and veggies as leftovers to top a salad with.0 -
Check out nutrition info for Chevy's: http://www.chevys.com/menu.aspx -- there's a nutrition link at the bottom of that page. Unfortunately, it is not pretty.0

High calorie and high sodium. Very high sodium. I just don't enjoy that stuff anymore.
Stick to chicken and guacamole? Or just eat and enjoy your evening. It's just one meal after all.0
