I think this is really going to work.

I've been using the food and exercise pages for a week or so, but only yesterday found my way to the forums. Nice to see so many people supporting each other. So, I'll introduce myself here and ask a couple of questions.

My name is David. I'm here because I am looking for help and support in losing about 40 pounds. I suspect I may be a bit of an "elder" here as I am in my mid fifties (but young at heart). Speaking of hearts, I had open heart surgery for a valve repair about a year and a half ago. I've been doing walking and some gym work to get back to where I was. All is going well, but now I really do want to pick it up - not only would I like to get my weight down, but I'd like to compete in Triathlons. I have small children at home that keep me young (and tired). And unfortunately am newly single again.

Couple questions;
1) any recommendations for groups?
2) about photos - is there an etiquette? any expected? not allowed? (Some of them are pretty racy! Not that mine would be, but I can certainly see the benefit of posting before and after picks with minimal clothing)
3) Anything else you want to suggest on how to get the most from this site?
