Well not new new but I'm more serious...my brother gave me a fitbit I lost it so now I bought the watch but he also told me to add myfitness pal with my phone
I don't know if I'm doing this right...
On my phone it show 567 calories remaining
Under its goal 1 300 then its said + 800 (food) - 67 exercices and then Net 733
Ok so I know the 1 300 is the food I can consume during the day
The 800 is the food I eat already
But why -67
And what is the Net 733 when I said that the remaining calories I can eat is 567 for the day...
I'm lost ...
I would like to try to lose at least 2 lbs a week if this is possible...
Right now I weight 179.6 wow... way too big not very healthy I mesure only 5.3 and I'm 45 I need to be at least 135 lbs..its depressing I was about that last december but then I started to eat food like bread and pasta but I got an incredable sweet tooth.. before I was 180 lbs I lost all my weight because I was very sick one day with a cold they gave me antibiotic and I develop yeast in my mouth from it because it was too strong so my naturopath ask me to cut everyting from bread to salad dressing that was not naturel..so I lost a lost of weight I was not hungrey but it was very hard at first no can or box food no sugar no bread ... but after 6 month I lost lots of weight and felt good... I was not tired anymore, no eczema and no sinus infection or sinus / allergies problem ...
But now I strated to eat this last year after a 24 years relationship brake up now the weight is back, eczema and sinus problem are back to so I need to do something but not even sure how to start all of this ... its depressiong

-67 is the calories you have burned from exercise. The net is the number to pay attention too, since you eat back your exercise calories you want your net at the end of the day to be 1300, or close to it.

And what is the Net 733 when I said that the remaining calories I can eat is 567 for the day...
Net 733 is the current calorie balance for the day. This is determined by taking what you eat and subtracting what you have used through activity. So 800 - 67 = 733.
567 is the remaining number of calories to get to your goal.
Note that both of these numbers can change. If you go for a 45 minute walk, the fitbit will update the exercise number and it won't be 67 anymore.
You track your food and the fitbit tracks your activity and you try to keep a Net 1300 calorie intake. This could be 1500 calories of food minus 200 calories of exercise, for example. Or it can be 1300 calories of food and 0 calories exercise.
Hope that isn't too confusing.
Good luck.0 -
omg I dunno if this is just me but... I'm confused...
Right now it say
Goal 1 200 (is this not too low to only take 1 200 a day) ?
It said that I eat so fare 470 calorie and its 2:30 pm
My exercises is at 328 cal
The Net is at 142
And remaining it say 1 058
Now I don't know if I understand but I need to have my net at 1 200 by the end of the day? But how does it go up by exercise or to eat all the remaining calories 1 058 ?
Its weird because when I went to the setting and set up my option I put that I wanted to lose 2 lbs a week but after it did all the calculation it show that I will be 1.5 a week and set me up with a 1 200 daily Is there something I'm going wrong... I'm sorry I feel a little bit off.... I'M having a hard time to understand!!!0 -
Honestly, if i were you, I would research (on these forums) the TDEE - (minus) method. Personally, I don't log exercise on MFP as half the time it is not accurate anyways and just confuses things. To each their own though...0
