Last 14lbs to lose?

So I started my weight loss journey in March last year and since then I've lost 40 pounds which I'm so pleased with. I'm 18, 5ft9 and I now weigh 166 pounds, and I'd say i want to lose at least another 14 (possibly a couple more), but for the past month I haven't really lost any weight. I have my goal set to lose 1 pound a week which puts me at 1500 calories a day, I've started doing strength training this month as well as cardio a few times a week, but 1500 calories doesn't really feel like enough, but then I'm scared to eat more than that because I feel like I won't be losing weight anymore.

I've heard that the last few pounds are always the worst but it just feels like I'm making no progress. So my questions are, if you've already lost your last 14 pounds, how long did it take you? And does anyone have any tips?

Try not to feel too scared about eating back your exercise calories! If it makes you feel better you can try just eating a portion of them back (a lot of people do that anyway to make up for the MFP database overestimating calories burnt).

I'm currently under my initial goal weight of 120lbs. It took me about 17 weeks to get from 134 to 120. I'm currently at 116, and it took me 20 weeks to get from 130 to 116. Then Christmas happened and I gained some of it back, went up to 123 at one point, and am now back to 116.

The only advice I can really think of to give is just to keep at it, same as you did for the first 40 pounds. Good luck!
