Hi all
I am trying to attack my weight issue head on and someone suggested I join here. so, allow me to introduce myself:
I'm a wife, mother and granny, and more than half a century old. I've also been a wheelchair user since birth, Because of a problem with my spine I had to start taking Pregabalin (Lyrica) for neuropathic pain a couple of years ago. It worked wonderfully.
Unfortunately the docs forgot to tell me that not only is it very difficult to withdraw from, it also has an horrendous amount of side effects, the most common of which is, yes, you guessed - weight gain. I've got from a healthy 8st 3lb to 10st 11lbs in 24 months and it doesnt look like it is going to slow down any time soon. I feel extremely hungry all the time and it is difficult to fight it, day in day out.
So, I am slowly coming off the pills (I'd rather have the pain than the weight gain, night sweats, confusion, blurred vision etc etc) and attacking my diet. Because I cannot really exercise much (although I am using the paths around my house to 'jog' three times a week. Each length is 60 meters, and I do five reps at present.) I have decided to do the fasting diet I heard about on the news the other morning See here:

Does anyone else here fast? Does it really work?
Im looking forward to getting to know you all a little better as you share my journey to be healthy.
