Transitioning from running outside to running on treadmill?

I've been running outside since July and ran my first 5k race in December (yay!!) well I was tired of dealing with crazy low temps and ice so I joined a gym. However I am having trouble running on a treadmill. I feel wobbly when the speed gets over 4.5. Is this normal? Or is it just me? Or do I need to just keep doing intervals until I get the hang of it? Thanks!

I find it much harder to run on a dreadmill than outside!! I did find that bumping up the incline just a smidge made it easier, and I do intervals changing my speed from a fast walk all the way up to a full out sprint because running at a set speed for 30 minutes just doesn't feel natural to me. I did find it helpful last year when attempting to practice tempo runs (I'm still not good at it) to use a dreadmill to lock in my speed at the pace I wanted but I don't like it!
Try intervals, you torch more calories that way too0
