Parents are your kids on board with your weight loss?

Since starting mfp I have learned so much about eating better/ healthier, not just for myself but my whole family. To teach my children what I didn't learn and to help them hopefully avoid the weight issues that me and my husband have. That being said My 7 year old son always tells me ' mommy don't forget you have to log your calories' lol and asks me what foods are healthier for him to eat or asking for rice cakes for snack just because he loves them :) Just wondering from other parents out there if there children are learning/ on board with learning a healthier way

Well, my daughters are 33 and 32 and they are delighted that I have developed a good nutrition and fitness plan. We all enjoyed the lovely photos of my daughter's wedding in August, each of us looking trim and fit. And when my grandson is born in May, I'm going to have plenty of energy and hopefully a lot more life left to see him to adulthood.

My oldest asks me all the time about what things are healthier for her to eat! My kids love all the fruits and veggies so it has been easy to teach them about healthy eating. My kids are only 6 and 2.5 but they make good healthy choices because it is what they see me doing. I love that I am able to start them young so hopefully they wont struggle with weight the way I did when I was young. My girls love to exercise too and get excited anytime I pull out my yoga mat...they actually insisted on getting mats of their own! ;)

My daughter is 13, and a picky eater. Having her half time is tough...I've always been the healthier example.

I let her be a kid. Taboo things make them go nuts when away. I also show her healthy(er) options. I put fresh bananas in pancakes when I make them, etc. I will make both of us a smoothie for the drive to school. She won't do the spinach in hers...but she keeps asking. I will get that battle won soon!

It's not just eating healthy, I have always promoted activity. She is in a couple of sports and does conditioning three times a week.
