My mum cooks pork belly meat, but I eat only the lean part and not the skin and fat. But I can't find any entry in MFP that says pork belly lean only... So I'm wondering if the lean meat of pork no matter which part it is from, have the same calories? Am I right to say that? If not, can someone please correct me... How should I count this?? I'm so confused now.

I think the cooking method does matter - if it's slow roasted, I would think (and I'm no expert) that some of the fat would be absorbed into the meat fibers, as opposed to if it was grilled on high heat on a barbecue for example where more of the fat would drip off faster so less would be absorbed by the meat. It seems like that would make sense, but I don't know for certain. Try using Google to look up Pork Belly cooked however method your mom does it and see what you can come up with.0 -
