Hey all -

I am really excited to have purchased a powerful blender (the Ninja) with lots of scary fast blades...I've been warned to watch fingers during cleaning (point well taken). Now I want to make some tasty, healthy smoothies...

I would love if people shared their favorite recipes.

Thanks in advance to anyone who responds!!!!!

add whatever you want. I use frozen strawberries, frozen mixed berries, banana, plain greek yogurt (or honey version), add just a little honey, and usually v8 splash. I dont add ice because of the frozen fruits. I also do NOT add additional sugar, there is enough if the fruit to keep it more than sweet enough for me and my 5 year old.

you can get creative by the way. add some fresh spinach into your fruit smothie, sneak in come carrots, add a little milk or vanilla soy milk... yum! Just add whatever you are in the mood for, there is NO right or wrong way to do it. If it sounds good, odds are it will taste good. Be a foodie, smell and taste what you are making, just because you are trying to lose weight doesnt mean you cant enjoy what you are eating.

I LOVE my ninja! I just got it for Christmas.

Try making mango sorbet. Frozen mango chunks (about a cup) and coconut milk (about 1/2 cup). So easy and good.

It's awesome for making fresh salsa too.

    1 frozen banana
    1 cup of strawberries
    2 tbsp of peanut butter
    1 cup of almond milk
    1 tbsp of cocoa powder
    1 handful of spinach

Tastes like a chocolate/strawberry milkshake. Keeps me full until lunch time!

    I LOVE MY NINJA
