I'm really excited about the long weekend and we're going out of town and going to my favorite casinos...I'm not worried about that..Its the family get togethers and cook outs and eating on the go..ugh...just when I feel like I'm getting into the swing of things...I know the things that I should eat, and lots of menus have lower fat/calorie items on them now so I am determined to do the best I can, but it is scary! It's always a battle within myself to do the right thing when it comes to food. That's how I got to where I am..I will be checking in here on mfp for motivation and support via my cell phone..
Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Be prepared take your own food and snacks. Be smart about portions. I dont understand why people think they need to gorge themselves on holidays. You can enjoy it with out gorging yourself. I take things with me. I try to prepare as much as i can. If I dont know the food that will be there YES I WILL BRING MY OWN and who care what they say. If they care what you are doing then they should not mind. People try to please others. Why not worry about pleasing ourselves . Have a Great weekend
  • I wrote a blog about the same thing :) lol. Here it is if you're interested:

  • I also have a few get togethers this weekend and I am going to try my best to drink plenty of "water" and eat some fruit then maybe I will not want to eat to much food. I find it better when I use a small plate to control my portions, it really helps. Hope you enjoy your weekend.

I am still accountable for what I have to log food wise. This alone will make me be good. :flowerforyou:
    You can do it!
