NOT just starting, but I'd love some company!

Hi! I've been using MFP on and off for a couple of years, but I'm getting serious. If you'd like a crunchy hippie girl-bro in your camp, please feel free to add me.
My blurb: I'm an emotional eater and a thrill seeker. Add a complete inability to eyeball portion sizes, love of cooking, and some vestigial guilt from being an overweight kid, and weight management became a 20 year shame spiral. I'm getting over that, and I would like to meet some people I can talk to honestly and positively. I'm just starting to lift weights again (no program, just building up strength), and I'm always interested in cardio that isn't running (I don't enjoy it; I'll do a 5k, but I'm not a distance runner. Also I have wussy lady ankles.).
My interests: cartoons, music, gardening (My beets just sprouted! Yay!), fire poi, and writing. I also play a mean ukulele.
My goals: I don't do pounds right now, but I probably will once I get further down the road. My goals are more along the lines of I'd like to be able to do a strict pull-up while also fitting back into my jeans from college and sprint for the bus when I need to and hike up Half Dome to high-five the German tourists with pride instead of gasping and dying on the ground. Ballpark, that makes for about a 20-30 pound loss . ...Ish. I'm sturdily built, so even in my "Girl, you need a sandwich" phase, I was still at about 140.
So... thanks for reading. I hope we can be friends!

I feel as tho we are kindred spirits in some ways. I love beets! I need to lose around 30 lbs to get back in my "normal" clothes and to feel proud of myself. I knew better but had a second helping, etc anyhow. Now I am paying the price!0
