5k ROW time?

I tried rowing for 5k for the first time ever today ( Concept 2 rower)

I am 6 foot 240-245 lbs male, 28 years old.

I set the drag setting between 5-6.

I ended up finishing at 21:00 min.

My pace was around 2:10 for 500m, but I rowed faster for the last 500 m at 4k and 5k( 1:40 pace)

I didn't feel too winded at the end(medium jog pace for 20 min or so equivalent)

Am I supposed to feel winded and dead at the end of a 5k row?

Also, what's a good pace that I can aim at given my current stamina?

If I try to set it below 2:00 min pace I find I can't keep it up for an extended period of time... over 1k - 1.5k
