Congratulations on your progress so far! I'm not the best at rewarding myself for specific goals, but I have been doing things to reward myself just in general for doing well overall. I mostly pick new experiences that I want to do and then do them. For example, in the past few months, I've gone horseback-riding, got my ears pierced, got a manicure for the first time, went to Hershey park (in PA), etc. Mostly, doing new experiences helps me focus outwardly instead of focusing on food.

You could also do simple more indulgent things just for you like: buying bubble bath or a candle, getting your teeth whitened, buying yourself a congratulations bouquet of flowers, buying a new perfume (or even a new laundry detergent with a scent you like), giving yourself the night off from kids/other responsibilities, going out for a movie or doing something else you haven't done in a long time, or spend some time looking for a new healthy food that you would enjoy and could add into your eating plan... I guess it all just depends on what you like.

I hope some of these ideas were helpful. Also, just sharing your success with a friend is also sometimes a reward in itself!
  • for me at 180 a pedi, 170 30min massage and a pedi, 160 60min massage and pedi, 150 massage, facial, and pedi past that I have not really thought yet I plan to get down to 135.
  • I have a hair appt every 5 weeks regardless of whether or not i've reached a goal. But when i reach a goal I go to my hair appt then i go have sushi at my favorite sushi restaurant for lunch and then I have a pedi with a cocktail (my salon serves cocktails with their pedicures, they also light candles and give you headphones with soothing jazz music and turn the lights down real low.). it's like a nice date with myself every few weeks.

Depends on what you like I guess. I dont have mini goals however I heard on a show once it is a great idea if you like clothes or jewelry or whatever to buy something and wrap it and write a card so it comes as a great gift. If you are going to do it do it big....

    Good Luck with it

i'm not much of a 'girly girl". So my rewards are for every pound I lose I put money in a "new wardrobe jar" and for my goals I get flowers from my better half.

I'd been doing mini-rewards of a couple new items of clothes as I go along (go to outlet stores). It was working great, I updated my wardrobe bit by bit but now I have to stop until I maintain! In the last 2 months, I've added ankle and now wrist weights to my regular routines and apparently that's enough to make my body kick it up a notch! All the clothes I recently bought, and older clothes I now fit back into are getting too big! I'm not actually losing, but toning so much I am rewriting my body's presets, finally! So now my new reward will be new workout clothes since all my "L" yoga-style pants are falling down as I workout
Even if you just go "window" shopping and try on some new things just to "see" your progress, is fun and rewarding: you don't have to buy anything, just enjoy knowing you're fitting into smaller and smaller clothes and when you hit your goal, treat your self big time & have no regrets & only pleasure
