Myfitnesspal calorie counter

Hi there!
I'm male 22 years old, 178cm and 84kg. I'm trying to gain weight (approx. 0.5kg per two weeks, so it's 1kg per month).
My question is, does myfitnesspal calorie counter counts calories good?
I set I'm sedentary, 4x 90 minutes workout, and for me it set to eat 2600~kcal every day.
Would this be enough?
Another calorie counters show me something like 3000-3300 calories.

Hi! Welcome to MFP Every site/calculator is going to use a different formula (there are several different ones out there), so it really depends. The general consensus is that the site may be a little too generous with calories burned during a workout.
You might as well give it a month and see how you progress.0 -
I'm have a lot of fat right now too, I don't really know what should I do. I just thought 'lean' bullk till April, then cut till I'm happy with bodyfat. But I don't know if that's a good idea.
and 2600 is probably becuase I set to gain 0.25kg per week? but, will 2600 work for me?0 -

I'm not very familiar with cutting and bulking so I can't help you there, sorry! Again, if that's what MFP recommended, I would at least try it. After, say, a month, you'll know if you need to eat more to be gaining.0 -
If you have a lot of fat right now, you should already have quite a bit of muscle too. I would cut till bodyfat % is low enough, and do a good weight training plan to keep all my muscle. You can also have a look at this for some good info. http://scoobysworkshop.com/0

Thanks all for responses, I think I'll stick to this plan for a while and see how it'll work !
Have a nice day0 -
I think the other calculators you used already had your workout calories counted in. Mfp doesn't work that way. The workouts you put in here did not affect the calorie target. Everyday you workout you will have to add the exercise and eat the calories you get from it.
Or you can manually change your calorie target on here to what the other sites give you. Goals-custom settings
This way you can also adjust your macro levels to your specific goal.
Mfp is a good site for cutting and bulking!
ETA: sedentary is hardly ever the right setting. Try lightly active.
And have a look at this (it's written for people who cut but the same applies to you just with more food): http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants0 -
if you already have a lot of fat, i would try eating at maintenance and lifting heavy to do a little recomposition... if you are bulking, even a lean bulk, you will gain some fat.0
