Losing weight too fast?

So the last three weeks I have lost 15 lbs much to my surprise how quickly it's coming off. Now I'm not starving myself by any means I actually feel great throughout the day keeping my calorie intake to 1600 -1800 (clean eating )and I have started working out an hour a day intense cardio. Is the weight just coming off really fast at the start because of my weight (started at 236 and I'm 5'5) . My point is my main goal is health which is my focus everyday. If I'm doing everything how I should be, is it fine to be losing weight this fast.

Give it a few weeks then see how fast it comes off, my first two weeks it came off so quick I was alittle alarmed but it soon slowed down to a steady 1.5 lb's a week or so.
Just give it a few weeks to settle0 -
I usually lose 7-10lbs the first week I really buckle down. It's usually a lot of water weight. After that, if I'm really exercising and watching what I eat and keeping the carbs low, I can usually lose at a pretty good pace. I think it took me about 3 months to lose 50-60lbs before I got pregnant with my son. I'm really heavy so as I get lighter, the weight loss usually slows a little. I would just really make sure you're getting enough calories to fuel your body (net calories) and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. If you're doing everything you should be doing to stay healthy and you're losing, you're doing it right! P.S. I'm not a Dr or anything of the sort. If you start to feel out of whack or overly tired/lethargic, there may be something wrong or you may not be getting enough calories. When I'm doing really intense workouts, my net calories is usually somewhere around 2000-2200 (I'm 5'9" and around 300lbs though.). Have to make sure you're fueling up!0

When you first start to eat at a deficit, you burn through your glycogen stores. Glycogen is bonded to water, so you also drop the associated water weight. This can result in high early losses on the scale, but a lot of this weight is water. If it continues at this pace long term, I might be concerned, but initially? Totally normal.0
