Which fitbit?

I have decided to get a fitbit and was leaning towards the force but after doing some more research I've read that clip ons can be a little more accurate. The wrist worn ones can be skewed for example if you talk with your hands or swing your arms when you walk. Thoughts and/or opinions anyone?

Some say the clip on's get lost more easily but I have always got on with the One & it has never fallen off the clip is very strong. I don't think the Force would be much out but I can see arm movements causing a slight difference but whichever you get I think, like me, it is a great help.0

I have the flex and my husband has the force and we love them both. I have mine on my non-dominant hand, but have it set as if it's on my dominant. By doing that is reduces the sensitivity. I would say all fitbits will have some degree of inaccuracy. I haven't had any issues with mine affecting my weight loss though. I eat back the calories it provides and I am still losing weight weekly so it can't be over-calculating by too much. Additionally I love that I can wear it all the time and not worry about losing it or accidentally throwing it in the wash. You can even wear the flex while showering, but I use that time to charge it so I don't know exactly how waterproof it really is.0

I got a fitbit one in Feb 2013. I wear it clipped on my bra and never once have forgotten it. I got a force at Christmas and am using them both to see how close the numbers are, but the site only allows one device per subscriber so I use the force to link to the fitbit site. I discovered that I developed a rash on my wrist from it and carry it in my pocket. The numbers are actually pretty close, but neither picks up all the steps working out on machines (which I am fine with). I like being able to have the fitbit one clipped to my bra (it is out of the way), but like the alarm on the force notifying when I reach 10,000 steps. As long as I have them both, I will continue to use them both. Either way it is the single best motivator to keep me moving more throughout the day! I love it. It is perfect for my needs, which is being more active.0

I've been wearing the fitbit one since January 2013. The only problem I've had with it is the clip broke, so I had to carry it in my pocket until the new clip arrived. Because the clip fell apart before I'd had it for year, fitbit replaced it for free, but it kept forgetting to carry it and almost lost it when it was clipless.
I wear clip it on my bra during the day and on my pants at night, so I can use the silent alarm in the morning. (The Velcro wore out on the write band after 4 months.)
I find the step count to be very accurate even when I'm on a treadmill or elliptical.
It's really helped me to keep my daily activity at a healthy level.
I think those that are a wristband would be easier to keep up with, but I'm not sure I'd like wearing something on my wrist all the time--particularly in the hot summer.0 -
I got the Force for Christmas and I love that it has a display, I am always checking on my steps, I find it hard to put on but another thing I like is it takes about 30 min to charge and lasts about 10 days0

I had the Ultra for several years, and switched to the One when the Ultra started to crack (the One design is an improvement). My oldest son wanted the Flex, and he wore it for months before deciding he didn't want a wrist one any more. He's now trying a Zip (I bought it for hubby but it didn't take). My 14-year old has a One and I've been super impressed with him, wearing it all the time, not washing it (#1 son has only been wearing the Zip a couple days and has already washed it once, luckily it survived!)
So I think it really depends on the individual. I can't stand something on my wrist, and my major exercise is the elliptical, which at times I'm moving arms, but other times I grab the center handles and my arms are still. My One still picks up everything. I love that it's so small and unobtrusive. No one knows I'm wearing it, I can wear it to church on Sunday as easily as with my workout wear.0 -

But I think if the wrist style appeals to you more, I wouldn't let accuracy affect your decision. If your's is VERY inaccurate, and some are, Fitbit will exchange it. If it just overcounts a little due to gesturing or under a little when pushing a shopping cart for 20 minutes a week, I think those sorts of things are inconsequential. Your trend is the important thing. You probably gesture and shop about the same amount week to week so the data you get is just as useful as mine, even if the level is slightly different.0
