hi
5'4.3 or 5.45
well went from 198 lbs to 150 in 5 months
My issue is with my measurements
because at 150
my navel is 42-43
hips widest 42-43
bust :dont know how to measure although i dont carry much weight there
thigh: 24
I am seeing people of my height at this weight have small navels.
the hips and top are fine like others. thighs and arms maybe fine as well. but the navel !! isnt it too much ?
i have a B shape stomach. so all fat accumulation starts and ends around navel. but still
i am hypothyroid so i wont be going to 120's anyway.. lowest possible might be 140's.
i have measured my height twice again.. i had started thinking maybe i am 5'2 but that is not the case

kind of sounds like your approaching skinny fat.. you may want to rethink how much you eat and your exercise routine as well as your macro's.. or your not gonna like what you see.0

Bodies come in all shapes and sizes, so comparing your measurements to others isn't always helpful. If you're unhappy with the way your body looks then you can look into some body recomposition programs (heavy lifting) to make some changes, but you should be aware that genetics are going to play a role in what your body looks like no matter what you do.0

I know its my body--- yet i dont know even at this weight how can others have such different measurements ?
Something is wrong0 -
What did you do to lose those 48 lbs? Diet alone, or diet with exercise? If exercise, what type?
It seems you are apple shaped, but honestly, those measurements do seem high for your height and weight. If your measurements are correct, it sounds like you may have a high BF%.
With only the information in the OP, my best suggestion is to add or increase strength training. Lift weights, use resistance bands or do body weight exercises. You need to regain your muscle and lose.
Keep a small calorie deficit and make sure you are getting enough protein.0 -
Your body carries your extra weight in your belly. That is the last place you will lose it. You aren't alone, I carry mine the same way. After losing 50 pounds, my abdomen is still larger than my hips.
The only way to get rid of it is to keep losing fat. It will eventually leave your belly after it is gone from everywhere else.
Just keep eating at a deficit and exercising. Eating lower carb can also help with belly fat, as you may be insulin resistant.0 -
Most measurements taken at the waist are referring to your natural waist. It's taken at the smallest part of your waist, where your body starts to curve as you bend sideways. My natural waist has a 3 inch difference in measurement to my navel's. Maybe this is playing into your worry?

Please excuse the website, Google sent me there, haha!0 -
i did cardio -- jogging and diet to lose those.
one thing my upper body before the navel is very skinny type
so is my neck and face
lower legs and arms are also thin
so maybe a very disproportionate body0 -

Where is your navel in regards to the top of your hip bone? To measure for increased disease risk, you should measure your waist as about 2 inches above the hip bone. This is usually at or just above the navel, but it can vary from person to person.
ETA: jogging is great exercise for your cardiovascular system and can be a great aid when losing weight since it burns a lot of calories. But you might benefit from adding weights or some other type of strength training a fews days each week.0 -
my whole body is soft, but my tummy is very soft .. looks like it is made up of some special stuffing0
