Do you guys weigh your foods raw or cooked?
I've always wondered. I was told that its personal preference and just too stay consistent with whatever I chose.
Agree or disagree?

I do mine after I cook it....
Because obviously after cooking its going to change the consistency on it...suck out water weight... etc... well thats my opionion. ...0 -
I didn't even think about the water weight leaving. It does seem a lot more sensible to weigh after.0

It doesn't matter- just make sure if you weigh it raw, you use a calorie count for raw. If cooked, use a cooked calorie count.
For example, don't eat 6oz of cooked chicken and then use a calorie count for 6oz of raw chicken, because the food shrinks when you cook it and what is 6oz cooked might have been 8oz raw. You'd be short counting your calories that way.0 -
I do it raw. Especially with meats, that will give up fat/oil that goes who knows where.0
