Question about activity level

I'm breast feeding and I have no idea how to add that in to the activity level. I also am trying to commit to either walking or getting to the gym 4x times a week. I know that breast feeding a baby (who only drinks milk, no solids) burns about 500 calories a day. My daughter is almost 1 and still nurses (also eats plenty of solids) she nurses maybe 4 times a day and 2 to 3 times overnight. I can't really find any info on how many calories reduced nursing is burning. Plus I breast fed everyday & hope to exercise at least 4x a week so do I pick very active? I was trying to find my TDEE number.

Breastfeeding is actually in the food section (weird I know). I add it into my breakfast calories. Just type in breastfeeding like you would search for a food. There are several option available. There's the newborn-6 month at -500 a day, 6-12 month at -400/day, and then the older baby (3-5 feedings a day) at -300/day. My son is 14 months is nursing anywhere from 4-6 times a day, so I use the -300 one just so I don't over estimate. Oh, and if you pump or know about how much your baby is getting at a feeding you can be even more accurate. If you just google calories burned to produce 1oz of milk I'm sure you'll find it. I have no real idea how much I produce since I stopped pumping, but thought I would add that just in case it helps you.0

http://scoobysworkshop.com/ this website is pretty good for TDEE calculations. I don't know anything about breastfeeding but I believe it has options for it. Just remember if you use the TDEE you get off this website then that includes your exercise already averaged into the daily calories so don't eat back your exercise calories. You can set you own MFP goals yourself under home, goals, select to reset them, and select to set them yourself.0
