So here's the thing. I was looking through my report to see my "progress," and well. There really hasn't been any. I mean, I started this thing back in mid-April and I've lost a whopping thirteen pounds. I've only lost a whopping thirteen pounds because I get lazy. I know, I know. That's everyone, right? But I'm trying to break out of the cycle where food caters to emotions. For example, I've had the most horrid week. Yesterday was brutal. What do I do? I do great all day - counting calories here, eat well... And then friends call me up, we wind up for going out for Mexican food. What better way to smooth over the day than a million calorie plate of cheesy goodness? The night before that? Same deal, except insert a Chinese buffet. I ate so much I walked out of there feeling gross. I know this is such a horrible frame of mind, and lots of times, I'm able to control it, get out of the cycle, view food totally differently, get back on track. That's what started the whole weight loss jump start.

Bleh. I just need to get out of this funk and focus on other things, I'm just having a hard time with it. I *know* what I need to do, I just need to do it. Tired of watching my scale bounce back and forth between the same numbers over a two month time frame. Need some motivation. I'm going to clean my house today from top to bottom in hopes that might help burn some burrito-y goodness off my *kitten*. Weigh in's Monday.

:flowerforyou: Guess what? You are normal! We all do crap like that, more often at the beginning of our journey, less as we continue. I think 13 pounds since April is great! I've been on here since Jan and haven't lost much more than that. The important thing is that you keep going. keep trying and you will get it. So next time you go for Mexican, eat a smaller portion, or get something with less cheese. Even making tiny better for you choices will make you feel more in control. At least now you are aware of what you are doing and trying to balance it out with exercise. That's a good thing. It's hard not to get discouraged, but YOU CAN DO THIS! :flowerforyou:
