Do you do them on the floor or with a bench?
But the most important question...do you make sure to never have eye contact with anyone right after a set?

for the few times I have done them, it's on the floor....and if you're gonna do this at a gym, make sure you make eye contact with one person throughout the whole movement....lip licking is encouraged....really sends a message

LOL!! I always do them on the floor. It's a bit awkward since my gym is at work so I have to face these people in the hallways and in meetings but we're all adults and they need to be done so I just suck it up and do 'em.0

Mwahahahaha.... I hate having to do hip raises when people are around! I'm lucky in that our work-place gym is usually dead.
I do most elevated, on a bench (hip thrusts), but sometimes do single leg hip raises on the floor.0 -
Barbells slip off too easily during hip raises. Get a training partner to sit on your lap instead, then you need never catch anyone's gaze.0

I use a bench (I'm sitting on the floor and I have my shoulders on the tip of the bench)
I don't avoid eye contact right after the set, but really during the set eye contact is a NO NO!
weighted hip thrusts! Those with squats have done my tush so much good :smooched:0 -
I do mine on the floor, and the only eye contact is with my big dog. He's usually doing yoga at the time (he loves when the big mat is out).0

if I'm just using a plate or want to use the med ball as a base for single leg raises- I do them on the floor.
If I'm doing BB bridge lifts- on the bench- I'm upwards of 190 on those- I don't want to be on the floor.0 -
I really like doing mine on a stability ball or with the TRX; the latter is especially challenging and interesting.
I avoid eye contact, but I will grunt powerfully with each thrust to announce to the world that my hips are glorious and deserving of attention.0
