2014 Superbowl - how will you prep??

Hello! My fiance and I are hosting the Superbowl Party this year. I know I'll be eating the veggies and fruit and staying away from the heavy stuff. Does anyone have any helpful tips, recipes, advice in general for food or drinks? Thanks!

I plan to get a heavy-biking session in that morning because I'll be a basket-case during the game.

    Seahawks diehard fan
  • I plan on making some yummy flat breads. Super thin crust, yummy pesto sauce and grilled white chicken with some fat free feta and arugula...yum. A lot of variety and yummy options.

Also working out that morning and just moderation. :-)

    1. eat the food
    2. drink the alcohol
    3. have fun ..

It is one day …one day will not ruin your weight loss or make you obese…

I will be in vegas super bowl weekend so that should be interesting..

I would say eat less in the morning and enjoy your super bowl party...

I'm thinking of trying lighter versions of spinach and artichoke dip and buffalo chicken dip. Maybe even homemade chicken tenders!

Get some exercise in that morning and then enjoy your party. That's my motto for Thanksgiving too...

Amongst other things, I will make- I did these a few years ago for Superbowl and people loved them...

So, I will be making these:

    Sliders with Chipotle Mayo

    http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/bobby-flay/sliders-with-chipotle-mayonnaise-recipe/index.html

    Ingredients
    Chipotle Mayonnaise:

    1 cup mayonnaise
    2 chipotles in adobo sauce
    1 tablespoon adobo sauce
    1/2 lime, juice
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

    Sliders:

    1 to 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck, 80/20
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
    Cheese slices, your choice
    Mini burger buns

    Burger Bar (if desired):

    Chipotle Mayonnaise
    Pickles
    Red onion slices

    And this:

Hot Crab Dip (I do half crab and half lobster)

    http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/hot-crab-dip-recipe/index.html

    Ingredients

1 pound jumbo lump crabmeat, free of shells
1 cup grated pepper jack cheese
    3/4 cup mayonnaise
    1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1/4 cup green onions, minced, optional
5 to 6 roasted garlic cloves or 2 cloves minced
    3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons fresh lemon or lime juice
    1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
    1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
    Salt and pepper
