Working Out So Hard You Feel Sick

OK, normally this doesn't happen to me, but I was feeling sluggish this weekend because I had been sick. So I went all out on Monday, doing a 75 minute workout which took me a while after to recover.
I know if you go too hard, you get that sickly "I feel like I'm going to throw up" feeling, but just before that you get a headache and just all over blechiness. That's usually what I get and what I had yesterday. I ate food, I drank water and I took a nap. Still wasn't feeling that great until today and I had a workout with my personal trainer (only 45 minutes and doable.)
Any tips on how to get rid of that feeling? Aside from not going that hard next time?
