First time losing motivation

I've been on this journey since fen 2013 when I was 161 (possibly more) and am 142lbs now. I invested in my eating habits and learned to love exercise..,

However Over. Xmas I was fine and maintained but had university exams so was stressed, I gave in and are A LOT of chocolate so naturally gained weight - it's showing in my face. I did do exercise getting back into it three days in a row straight after but feel quite stressed from everything and worse - craving a lot of junk.. I've never felt like not exercising till now.

I'm tired of being stressed, the weight in my face that will take weeks to go down and the stress from Uni as well as inadequate sleep. Right now the whole thing feels a chore and I've never not been motivated. It's my last 10lbs (or less) also my belly fat on stomach makes me feel horrible, so tired of it all...

More of a rant but any words, appreciated

Just take it step by step. Do easy exercises now, and build it up. Slowly decrease your cLorie intake. I know you want to be on the right track by tomorrow, but take it easy and know you're not alone. Best wishes, and good luck!

You got out of your groove. It's that simple. Getting back into it can be a struggle. And you will be tired as you try to monitor your calories and get back to exercise the first few days. I know I am, at least. But that doesn't last! And the more you move, the better you feel. For me, when I'm really stressed, exercise is the one thing that I CAN control, so it makes me feel better. No, the weight isn't just falling off, but I took the time in a stressful point in my life to do something just for me. That is what my fitness gives back to me. Good luck! You loved exercise before, and you can again! A small bit of weight gain is totally something that can be overcome!

    1) If you can make time, exercise typically LOWERS stress...
    2) If you have the cash and you haven't tried it, you might want to consider kick-boxing...imagine you're punch/kicking whatever is annoying you currently
    3) As someone else stated, just work on getting back into a groove...maybe you're having trouble carving out 30 minutes a day. Fine...work on making it 10 minutes every day. Just work on making sure that you move a little everyday.
    4) Do the little things that add up to get more movement...park farther away and walk further to the front door. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Even standing more than usual will make your body work a little harder than being parked on your butt.

    Good luck!

It's my last 10lbs (or less).
Your goal should be set to .5 lb. per week now that you're almost at maintenance. (Congratulations!) Switch your focus from getting smaller (you did it!) to getting stronger.

    Thanks ladies :)

I was out of my element for a bit but have managed to pull off 25 minutes including a HIIT session which I'm really proud of. I'll make it a commitment to do atleast 20 minutes of cardio each day until my spirits get lifted a bit higher. Although I know exercise lowers stress and it has for me personally, filling in the chocolate/junk food craving I had was also not that dramatic to my weight loss/calorie deficit so no damage done there. I'll keep it going.

    thanks again.
