"Borrowing" a Garmin Forerunner 100

MI bought my OH one of these last year, but he only rarely uses it. I don't currently use a HRM for my gym classes, and fancied checking out my levels. Would it be ok for me to borrow it, or would it screw up his settings?
Edited to add: I know the obvious thing is to ask him, but he hasn't really got a clue how it works. I think he's just about sorted out how to work out how far he has run, with times and that's about all. He isn't very tekky savvy.

It would definitely play around with his settings unless it has the option for multiple users (which I don't believe Garmins do - I know mine doesn't anyway). You could always change the settings for you, copy down the info and change it to HIS settings so even if he had no idea beforehand you're kind of helping him out!0
