220g of uncooked rice is 711 calories
that much I know but what about when it is cooked? How do I weigh it to find out what I am eating? It will be heavier so do I just weigh the whole pot and if it is 500g and divide by 4? Then it would be 125g's = 178 calories? (711 divided by 4)
Does that work or is there a better way?

Hi you could weigh your own portion when dried and cook it seperately if doing rice for the family so that you know exactly what it weighs. Or you could just weigh it on scales when it's cooked. I have a calorie book and in this it states that 28g (1oz) of boiled white rice is 39 calories, 0.4 grammes of fat. I find that when i'm weighing rice the average dessert spoon was about 28g (but that could just be my spoons, lol). 28g of boilde brown rice is 40 cals 0.3g fat. I hope this helps0

Thanks I knew that what was in the pot was 711 calories so I just weighed the cooked rice and added it into the database as cooked rice and then entered what I ate normally.0

Yeah. 1 cup of cooked white rice is about 200 calories.0
