Hello,
I am a 22 year old with a little weight too lose. I have been away from home for the past year which has helped me stay on a healtheir diet. Now, I am moving back home in two months and would like to keep that healthy streak going. My family has also expressed an interest in eating healthier and wants me to be in charge of helping them lose weight and get in better shape. Does anyone have helpful tips\ideas\recipies as to get them started?
Any help would be appreciated!!

Hi Boomer,
I've gone through the family recipes and cut calories out of them. Somethings are simple like using skim milk instead of whole milk. Other things required thinking of new ways of doing things. Most times things tasted the same, but had less calories.

Thanks for the help everybody. Anybody have any ideas as to how to keep them on track? I have a feeling this is going to be like pulling teeth.
I plan on giving each of them a folder where they will record their weights once weekly, measurments and pictures once monthly.
I thought about doing a pot of money that the "biggest loser" would win but they didnt really go for that idea.
Any thoughts?0 -
The folders might work. It also might help to have a chart on the wall with everyone's weight on it. The chart will keep everyone honest about weighing in. Also, you can plan some family outings for exercise and spending quality time together.
