Well I have been trying something kinda different while working out. I train in shotokan karate and I am used to having the freedom of movement bare feet give me. Shoes where a little stiff, so I thought I would try some juka tabi. Juka tabi are a cotton shoe worn by Japanese workmen and are based on the foot ware worn in the past, they offer the flexibility of the bare foot but offer the protection of a rubber sole.

I have so fallen in love with them I am looking for a pair for work, they feel nice, and allow my foot to act naturally, weather it is running on the tread mill, elliptical, neighborhood, or doing kata in the back yard they out preform my best hopes. so anyone ever tried tabi or wanted to, and what is your favorite foot ware for the battle of the bulge?
