Motivation: DIY Weekly Incentives Coupon

My workouts are a battle, and for each battle gets some sort of reward depending on the stipulation. Keeping Valentine's Day in mind I made a coupon book for my fiancé for the sake of making the day fun and interesting  . So I thought to myself, why not make one for accomplishing certain things in my workout week or rewards for each week I complete in the program?

I'm currently training with Les Mills Combat: Ultimate Warrior Hybrid program. When I look at the calendar for the training program, it looks really intimidating! But I want my results and I want them fast with hard work involved. So since I'm reward driven which it comes to doing something achievable, I created my own "completion coupons."

The completion coupons for me consists of the regular weekly incentives (ie. a day to bust calorie limit, another pair of dumbbell weights, one cold yummy treat, new pair of runners, etc.). To amp up my program I've also created some 'bonus' completion incentives as well. Bonus as in "walk dog for 7 days straight for 3 weeks regardless of the weather" and redeem coupon for "one trip to dog park" or "stay below calorie limit" and redeem coupon for "a trip to Tutti Fruiti to treat yourself."

I know I'm not suppose to motivate myself with food since I'm not a dog, though some people said you shouldn't because of that line of context mentioned somewhere on the interwebs... But still, if it works for you... DO IT!!! You are yourself, nobody knows how exactly how you work except for you! Sure people don't know themselves as much as someone important or dear to them would... But still! As long as it's healthy that won't lead into some bad health complications. :noway:

I've also chosen to give myself a coupon for every inch I lose around my waistline since I'm only 3-4 inches away from meeting that goal. Examples for me would be: a trip to go to shopping at La Senza, one to go on a long hike with friends, one to go hang out with friends at an indoor pool, and one day to spend $100.00 on online on "wants" just to reap the rewards (could be a new dress, shoes, equipment, makeup, jewelry, whatever the heart desires).

And I feel that losing inches is a harder than losing actual weight since weight fluctuates throughout the day and depending on the type of training you do.

Like I have some type of advent calendar thing going on with little pieces of dark chocolate no bigger than the size of my thumb for each completion day and sometimes a Ferrero Roche if my partner in crime thinks I deserve one and if I'm still going to be within my calorie limit for the day. I just feel light headed without having 1 small thing of sugar on some days. :frown:
