+1,000,000. Worthless personal opinion but women should be able to AT LEAST get a pony tail in or it's too short.
Any opinion that contains the words "women should" should remain unvoiced, in my opinion.
He stated that it was his personal opinion. I think all men should be hot- is it not okay for me to voice that?0 -
I would say go for it. Whatever you do, get it cut by a good stylist. A bad cut is so much more obvious in a short haircut than longer hair.0

I see all the time on these boards that "men don't like women with short hair." Yet, I have a LOT of friends who have short hair and they're all married. And they had short hair when they met their husbands.
So ... somehow this statement doesn't hold true.0 -
Go through my proile I LOVE my short pixie....0
-
Do whatever you want! Hair grows back. It's not like you're getting an ugly tattoo or something.0
-
Cut it. Changing your hair up is something fun to do. And I definitely don't think you have a fat face.0

DEFINITELY go to one of the websites that let you 'try on' hairstyles by superimposing them on your picture. At least it'll give you an idea of what it'll look like, and you might see some other styles you'd like to try.
I say go for it. Hair grows back. If it makes you happy, it doesn't matter what other people think. A good stylist will work with you to find a cut and style that flatters your face. I think short hair can look great on any face type.
If you're really, really nervous, do it gradually. A couple of years ago my hair was bra-strap length, so I cut it into a bob. I hated it, and after a week, I had it all chopped off into a cut sort of similar to Jennifer Lawrence's- very short in the back and longer in the front. It's gotten shorter and shorter since then, haha! I absolutely love it, and people compliment it all the time.
The only drawbacks to having short hair (not including other people's opinions) are cut/dye maintenance- I have to get mine cut and colored about every 4 weeks, or the roots start to show and it looks shaggy. Depending on where you live, you may want to invest in scarves, hoods, and earmuffs, because you don't realize how warm long hair is until it's gone! Also, remember to put sunscreen on your ears and the back of your neck in the summertime.
Best of luck! I'm sure whatever you choose will look great!0 -
I would never chop my hair.... :grumble:
some girls can pull it off though.
But I don't think JLaw does.0 -
how do you insert a picture0

I dunno. I've been trying to figure that out myself.0

I don't think it looks good on Jennifer Lawrence or anyone else personally.
This. I hate pixie cuts.

It's just how I like it and I happen to be a hair guy. Like some guys are into legs, boobz, azz whatever. IMHO hair can make or break a woman's look. If you're going to go with super short hair you need really great feminine facial features to pull it off.
It's super rare that a woman looks better with short hair but it can happen. Halle Berry and Kelly Carlson come to mind. But as you can see, they both have really feminine faces.
It's far easier to look super sexy with longer hair and have way more things you can do with it. Especially when you don't feel like doing anything with it. It's also been voted on by American men and the favorite style that was voted on was a pony tail in a baseball cap.
Again, just my opinion which doesn't mean squat to anyone else .. but you asked.0 -
do it
even though that jennifer chick is horrible short hair is not horrible
edit to say its only not horrible on women its terrible on men0 -

I agree with your opinion. I feel a lot more feminine with my long hair.0 -
I love long hair. I've had waist length or longer hair my whole life (other than an unfortunate scalping at the age of 6).0

Why doesn't his opinion matter? Is that not what she was looking for? An opinion? Or maybe just ones that agree....That's probably it...he didn't agree.0 -

I think Jennifer Lawrence has a round face, so if yours is round, then go for it! However, it looks in your profile pic that your hair is curly....so maybe look at some different options for curly hair unless you're going to straighten it every day. I've had very short to very long (currently growing longer, and growing out my bangs).....it'll grow back! So why not!0

I met and married my husband with super short hair. However, he has asked me to grow it out. I have not cut it short for 5 years and he begs me to keep it long. He thinks I look great with any kind of hair, but he prefers it long. So I think his statement does hold true.....0 -
Does every thread on this site have to turn into an argument about men trying to control women? A dude can't even express HIS opinion that women look better with longer hair without essentially being called a chauvinist?
OP, it's your hair and your life. You'll either like it or you won't. If you don't, you can get extensions until it grows back out to a suitable length. If you're not willing to do that, then you don't really want to cut your hair. Problem solved.0 -

My husband doesn't like my hair super short either. He still loves me and even has sex with me when it's short though. Having a preference on hair doesn't dictate how he treats me or feels about me. I also don't let his preference dictate my preferences and he's okay with that.0 -

My hair is "short" in my profile pict, but I was deciding if I should go shorter. I have very curly hair but not thick hair, so It tends it look "thin" after the back of my shoulder blades. My husband prefers short hair on me .0

I think it'd look great, but even if it doesn't, worst thing to happen is you wait for it to grow back out. No biggie.0
