If I go over my daily calorie allowance I can exercise until I correct the overage. What if I go over my sodium allowance? Is there anything I can do to correct that?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You can counter it.
I'm on a restricted sodium diet due to high blood pressure. My doctor said if I go over 1500 miligrams, I am to drink extra water to keep flushing my system and go for a walk or light jog to work up a sweat so that it can be excreted through my pores as well as my kidneys.0 -
I've heard from a few places that potassium can actually help counter the effects of too much sodium.0

eat potassium rich food such as spinach, potatoes, bananas etc.0

Sweating it out, drinking lots of water (with lemon), potassium rich foods. I have to stick to 1500mg a day due to high blood pressure which is tough, so when I go over, I just focus on my water and getting a good cardio sweat in the next few days.0
