For those starting this weight loss journey

Can you honestly see yourself at the finish line? I know once you hit your goal there is still work to do...but I want to know, in your mind do you really see yourself reaching your goal? As for me, I don't see ME as the finished product. I see me as having a little success, dropping maybe 20 or 25 lbs, but not that big 58lbs I WANT AND NEED TO LOSE. One thing for sure I AM NOT GOING TO GIVE UP...

I can definitely see myself at that finish line as I have been there before and remember how incredible it feels. I think this time it's more of a lifestyle change so I think it will definitely stick longer.

Thinking about how far I had to go was to much for me to consume...and I always failed. The best advice was to take one week at a time. I shot hard for the 2lb a week goal. Before I knew it I was losing 10 and then 20 lbs....and so on. Take small steps....make mini daily and weekly goals (I am going to drink 8 glasses of water today...I am going to work out for 60 mins, etc) and do daily and weekly challenges...I challenge myself to start strength training...I challenge myself to speak positive about my new lifestyle...etc.

    Good luck.

I found a picture of myself when I was my current goal weight, so that's making it a little easier. But currently, I am just focusing on each day.

I'm thinking this is the right approach.... Don't worry about tomorrow, but focus on today! I always can count on MFP to put things in perspective!!!

This is awesome. I've never seen myself as an adult for the size I am gunning for! I often look at other people or celebrities and wonder if I would look like that once I reach my goal weight.
