Starting Over...Again

Hi All-
I, like many am trying to start my new year in a healthier manner. A few years ago, I managed to lose nearly 40 lbs. through diet and exercise and I've kept it off for the most. I tend to gain weight over the holidays but it does come back off. For example, I gained 8 lbs. over Christmas. So that motivated me to download this app and to try the green coffee bean capsules and start getting serious. Well, in 8 days I've lost 7 lbs. I know that sounds drastically quick. It is- for me. I had set up my goal on here to try for one lb. a week. I know most of it's fluid to start, but at any rate I am pleased.
Since losing the nearly 40 lbs., I have tried diet and exercise since. My husband and I were exercising 4-5 days per week. We were counting calories and the whole bit. He lost 42 lbs. My body quit after 11. I tried everything to bust this plateau, but nothing changed. So I gave up. Bad idea, I know. But today is another day and I am feeling good so far. I've not incorporated exercise yet, but I plan to. I have to be careful as I do have osteo and rheumatoid arthritis as well as lupus. But the journey is baby steps, right?
I was wondering one thing. The only issue I have so far is finding healthy foods that will keep you fuller longer. I'm drinking water and green tea the majority of the time (unless I'm having cereal, then I'll have milk). I just wondered if you all could advise me on foods that will 'stick with you' that are healthy. I appreciate any feedback and look forward to getting to know some folks here
By the way, I'm Vicky. Nice to meet you
