Keffiyeh for Cold Weather Running

So another cold weather vortex hit NYC recently and I've found another use, besides fashion, for my keffiyeh that I thought I'd share. These are the traditional cotton Arab head scarves mainly used to keep the sun off your head and sand out of your face in desert environments. Turns out that they're really good for running as well. They keep your head, face and neck warm as well as wick sweat away. I've found that they also help me breathe a bit better because instead of breathing in cold air, I'm breathing in reasonably warm air. They are also very easy to wash, as I just toss mine in with my other workout gear. Finally, all priced out they're pretty cheap compared to going out and buying an Under Armour protective face mask for cold weather.
