Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well.
A little over 10 months ago I snapped and made the decision to change everything about the way I eat and feel about food, nutrition and exercise. I went all out with healthy eating, supplements and workouts and am happy to report that I lost close to 60 lbs. and went from a size 14 down to a size zero. I have built muscle and am so very happy with my on-going progress. I have researched nutrition, tried new foods and recipes, taken all sorts of exercise classes, tweaked and re-tweaked and I've put up with a lot of BS from friends and family. But I fought, and continue to fight for my goal.
So yesterday I totally fell off the wagon. I am not sure if it was because it was a snow-day or what but... I was hungry all day long and I ate all day long. Now... I am not stupid. I know that at my level of activity and typical daily calorie restriction that one bad day of eating isn't going to hurt me. But I really felt out of control for the first time in a long time and that scared me! So I made the decision to come back and re-set, re-fresh, re-start.
I have ten (vanity) lb's to lose and today was day one of reaching my goal. Yup... I set my calories wicked low at 1,000 a day for my stats (below), I know all about starvation mode, binging and purging and binging because of being hungry, etc, etc, etc... but like I said, today is day one (again), and I wanted to really kick start myself in the right direction again. Also, the past is the past and I am past it so... forward motion, on ward and up ward. Only good things to come!
I have to say... I ate totally healthy all day long and even got some much needed sleep. I got my morning cardio and am getting ready to go to my evening boxing class. I had no cravings or hunger feelings all day which is awesome. I started taking 5-HTP and I have to say so far it's a miracle supplement. It may not work for everyone but for me it totally curbs my appetite and has completely removed my sweets cravings.
Anyway, I once again tweaked my nutrients and went very low with the carbs, very high with the protein and middle of the road with the fats. I also take Tonalin so the fat intake will be lower than what I actually consume. I went over my 1,000 limit today by around 200 which is fine. I know a person with my stats can consume closer to 2,000 and still lose weight.
But it's only 10 lbs and I want fast results.
I am 5'5" and currently weigh 119, 45 years old with a BMI of 19.9 and body fat 19.6. I work out everyday cardio/boxing/HIIT style, seven days a week, twice (2 hours) a day except for Sundays where I only do one hour of cardio... that's my rest day. I do free weights once a week but was thinking of doing free weights or at least nautilus twice a week. Not sure yet.
So there I am. Any and all thoughts, suggestions and/or advice would be wonderful.
Thanks!
