Water Weight Maybe?

I'm one of those people that weighs every day to stay on track. This helps me with curbing cravings and helps me to make sure I'm staying on track. Once I've stayed at the same weight for a week or so I will update MFP. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday I was at one weight and today when I weighed I was 4 pounds heavier. Last night was not my typical homemade meal because I was feeling extremely tired after working out and working late. I'm feeling bummed out about the 4 pounds because that is a HUGE jump from one day to the next at least in my mind. My dinner last night was very carb heavy because I knew my workouts today were going to be more intense. Could it be the infamous water weight issue from the carb overload last night?

Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated? I recently got a HRM and that has changed the way I now log my workouts. All of the calculators were saying I was burning nearly 50% more than I actually was during a workout and since changing this I have started to see results again.

Probably fluid retention, or some other non-fat weight. It certainly wasn't 4 pounds of fat.. unless you ate 14,000 calories yesterday.
Bodyfat burns too slowly to measure from one day to the next, so maybe start a better daily ritual to stay on track, like chatting with like-minded people, for example.

Yes, could be water. My father in law has this problem when he eats too much sodium (actually has a pill he has to take/plus he's sodium restricted) If you notice that you are having this problem often, you might want to track your sodium intake.
