Unsolicited and unoffical observations about losing weight...
1) Most healthy weight loss comes from diet vs. exercise
2) Eliminate processed food
3) Reduce sugar (its everywhere!)
4) I eat (nosh) 5 times a day..6 am. 10 am. 12 noon, 2 pm, 6 pm - you may not - but don't skip meals or eat erratically - your body gets confused when it doesn't know when its next meal is coming and will tend to hold onto fat to build up stores
5) Ok Im human so once a week or so...I eat something that breaks all these rules - but still... eat less of it.
6) Patience - so many of us "diet" for a few days or weeks and expect results. The word "dieting" should be outlawed as it is indicative of a temporary change; that's why all "diets" fail. This is about small but continuous changes to how you live your life.
7) Throw out your scale (philosophically). Measure yourself, or note how you change in regards to certain pieces of clothing rather than weight
8) Listen to my body - really listen - it will tell you what it likes and what is doesn't. (I don't mean the pleasure centre in your brain lol) How do you feel after eating certain types of food?
9) Our bodies are all different...so just sharing what's been working for me over the last 4 months or so. It may or may not help you....but there are licensed nutritionists our there that can (I am not one)
I have 5 more pounds to get to 160, and at 5' 10" that is a good racing weight for me! Have a great day peeps!
Happy for new friends if you want to actively share!
