If anyone knows me, they know i'm obsessed with Subway. I freakin' love Subway. I could live off of their sandwiches for the rest of my life and be happy and content. Okay, so now you get the point. And mamma doesn't just eat a six inch either, I scarf down a footlong and feel no guilt.

When their $5 promotion came out, it was like the happiest day of my life. So I have been going like twice a week for lunch. I get the same gosh darn thing every single time, a footlong turkey on wheat with extra tomatoes, black olives, onions and V&O for the dressing. No cheese.

After my workout today I went to Subway to get my usual and the lady was like "I'm sorry, the turkey is no longer part of the $5 promotion" I look up there and there were only 4 choices now for $5 footlongs. One of them was Turkey & Ham. Um, okay?! So I was like "can I get the turkey and ham without ham?" and she was like  (okay let me stop and just say that i'm not a cheap person. I don't mind spending money, but this just annoyed me. If you are going to do a promotion FREAKIN' DO the promotion and don't change it in the middle of the week, *kitten*!). So, she proceeds to only put 4 slices of turkey on my footlong  and then i'm like I'd like extra tomatoes, extra black olives, etc. She looks at me and says "Um, it is going to be EXTRA for extra black olives!". Uh, okay? Since when do they charge extra for vegetables? '"Infact, it will be an extra $1 for extra black olives". Wow, they aren't messin' around, huh? :grumble:   A dollar for a few extra slices of black olives, and I kid you not, this lady only put like 6 slices on my entire footlong.

So yeah, totally lame. But i'll still go back!

This is the most pointless thread ever, huh?

Sounds like the Subway lady needs to find a new job!!! What a b**ch!! they aren't supposed to charge for EXTRA veggies. Thats the whole point of you being able to make it the way you want.

The lady is not new. She always makes my subs and has never charged me for extra olives and knows how much money I spend at Subway. They must be hurting, bad, for them to be acting all cheapy cheapersonlike.

Six slices of olives! What a cheapskate! It really does matter who you get. One person I said "extra pickle" and she gave me like 10 pickle slices. The next time I said the same thing and got PILES of pickle. Hopefully you get a different person soon. She sounded annoyed that you said "turkey with no ham" which is really funny by the way!!!

It's funny because a lady here in Texas called 911 at a Burger King (or some fast food restaraunt) because they didn't make her sandwich the way she liked.

You southerners and your food. It's a little scary.

That's why I love the fact that we have D'Angelo's up here, they are basically subway, but with a few different options. Just as good though. So if you boycott one, there is always the other.

Lina, maybe we just found a new multi-million dollar business for you, Texas D'Angelo's franchises! Competition is good, and if you put out a REAL special offer, I'll bet you'll drag people out of the Subway's in droves!

(I want a cut if you get rich!)

Don't the commercials say "piled high" - what a joke!!!

My Mom never has cheese on her sub, but she always asks for them to put "her cheese" on my step-dad's sub and they almost always do it until they ran across this *@#hole the other day. He said "Mam, I can't do that!" My Mom said "Then just hand me my cheese and I'll put it on there myself!"

    I almost peed my pants!!!

I always do extra tomatoes and I have yet to be asked to pay more fore it. Tomatoes aren't cheap so i anxiously await when they try and charge me extra for a vegetable.

OMG you guys are cracking me up! That is just too funny! The Subway by my old job used to have 99 cent Spicy Italian 6" subs on Tuesdays. I'd order the 6" Italian with no meat, making it just a veggie sandwich. They never complained. Why should they!? They're saving money on the meat! But the did charge me if I wanted extra cheese which still baffles me.

But, I can relate, not so much to myself but my husband is always coming home saying "I tried to get extra black olives in my Subway sandwich and they put a sprinkle......so I said to give me more please and they gave me another sprinkle..finally I said GIVE ME A MOUNTAIN OF OLIVES!!" and they charged him!!! LMAOOO That is in NYC! So, it's all over the place I guess!!
