Rubbish week

So I've been pretty exhausted lately. Going to the gym at 5am, traveling on 2 buses and one train to work, not coming home till late.... and this week I've just struggled to be able to get up for 5am (i get a lift from a friend who goes with me as i don't drive).

Anyway, last week i went around 4 times.
This week once.
AND i may or may not have had Chinese takeaway last night :P

Need to pick myself back up, even my eating has went downhill this week (snacking etc).
What do you guys do when you have bad days/weeks?

You may need to go to bed early tonight. Lack of sleep is cumulative and can build up over time, especially when coupled with exercise fatigue.

-In a positive way, without beating yourself up, remember your "Why" for doing this.

-Give yourself substitute snacks. (example: tea instead of pop, coffee instead of whiskey, yogurt instead of ice cream, etc..)

-Find something that you truly enjoy and give it to yourself as a reward for going to the gym or meeting your recommended intake.

-If it is exercise you are lacking, change things up a bit. Maybe do a brisk walk through your neighborhood or a nearby park.

    Hope these help!
  • I too have had a rubbish week. I was ill at the beginning of the week and subsequently everything went bad. I normally get to gym for 6am, I dont quite have the travel issues you do as i walk to work, but i feel your pain. What time do you normally go to bed? As bheathfit says, you may need more sleep, I normally find it hard when i get less than 6 hours sleep for a few days.

Everybody is different when it comes to sleep, and individually we need different amounts to function properly.

regarding picking myself up again, I normally think about what my end goal is and where I am on achieving it. Then i look at how far i have actually come since i started and I remember how i felt before i began and realise i never want to go back to that. Thinking this normally gives me the kick in the *kitten* to get going again.
