Walking/Pedometer Question

According to the pedometer app on my phone, the average I walk throughout the day is about 7-8km, but does this stop-start walking spread all around the day count in the same as going out for one long walk? If I'm tracking this on the MFP app, would I put down the pace over time my according to the figures my pedometer is giving me (roughly 3.5 or 4km over approx. 2 hrs of my day), or should I dial the figure back some?

I wouldn't be adding it as "exercise" if its just part of your daily routine.

I agree personally I only count deliberate exercise anything else I work into my activity level. If you think you do a lot of walking in your day to day life just up the activity level.

Yes, I would just up your activity level to lightly active if you don't know an actual figure.

As an indication, I walk about 9200 steps a day which nets me an extra 400 calories above a sedentary day of 2000 steps (according to my fitbit)
