Heart rate monitor advice

Can anyone recommend a cheap and reliable heart rate monitor for calories burnt?

    Polar makes good HR monitors. I was recommended the brand by a friend, I love it and they are affordable as well (usually between $50-70). I have recommended this brand to friends and family and as of yet have only gotten rave reviews.

    I got a basic one from argos £29.99. It works just fine, give you calories burned and heart rate. Can't remember the brand but I think it's the only one that's £29.99
