I just got an application at work today, and this is who it was from.

*for the record, not a JOB application. this person is not even the applicant, but the 3rd party submitting on the behalf of said applicant* :noway:

    Very nice!

That's why you always make a professional sounding name/e-mail--just for this type of occasion. Seriously, I process customer parts orders for my company and contained in someone's e-mail address is, I kid you not, "catman69"

Just representing his company the only way he knows how, I guess. Keep on keeping on, Catman69.

Was it from a midget porn company? That would at least make sense.

I'm a recruiter for a staffing agency and this was on the bottom of a resume I received:

    Personal Interests
I am an avid animal lover. I have a tiny brown chihuahua named
Phoebe. She weighs 3 lbs and fits in my purse. I take her everywhere
with me, when I can. I love to tell stories about our adventrues together.
A good one is when she almost got carried away by a hawk.

That's hilarious! I got one from a subcontractor once that made me shake my head, but of course I can't remember it now.

So if this person doesn't get the job, does he or she retain a lawyer and sue for discrimination due to 'midget love'?

    Bahahahahaha! Too funny!
  • professionalism can be difficult in my field.

I work with disadvantaged adults in helping them attain a higher level of education.

However I had an application from a young gentleman where in his email contact the words player, 69, and number 1 were all featured in some form.

He also left three numbers to be contacted at. When I called the numbers to verify his information and course desires, I happened upon three very angry "ex" ladies two of whom were VERY angrily pregnant.....ALL of them suspecting I was lady number 4 trying to track him down....

    it was.....interesting.

this is not the applicant's information... it's the "submitter's" information from the business that sent it

    Well, in that case...

Seriously! I had our (now) 19 y/o do that when she was 17 and applying for jobs, these days most applications are done online and request your email address. I explained that forever16@xxxx.com is not the best email address to apply for jobs with. Last kid at home will be 15 tomorrow and wants to start looking for a little part-time job and she's already set up a more "professional" sounding email address.

But. The company I work for does abstracting (title research), the majority of our clients are title companies and/or title attorneys. I'm FREQUENTLY shocked by the unprofessional emails I receive and many times they are requests sent by phone and it's quite obvious auto-correct stepped in but they didn't READ before they hit send.

    Smdh...
