Challenging workout for people with knee problems

I'm looking for a challenging workout. Can anyone recommend something (on video or a commonly offered class)? Is P90X OK for people with knee problems? Thanks!

I personally have had some kneecap area pain and swelling And have been using a Workout called "Simple and Sinister" which comes from the folks at Strongfirst. Kettlebells are very forgiving but quite challenging on a number of levels. I've been on that for 6 weeks or so and have noticed a reduction in pain and stiffness of the shoulders and knees.0
