So I've been going at my whole diet thing really hard for the past week staying under my 1200 calorie a day intake. But for the past two days I have been feeling really nauseous like I can't bear the thought of food. Is this normal for the beginning of a diet? I do take my vitamin every morning.

  • Do you normally take vitamins? Any time my doctor has started me on a new vitamin he's told me to start it at night, because vitamins can cause nausea.
  • No, I just recently started taking a one a day, I never thought about the vitamin being the cause. Thanks! I'll definitely trying taking it at night and see how it goes.

One a day ALWAYS made me nauseous even if I ate so thats most likely the cause. I have to take gummy or chewable vitamins.

Is your vitamin hard or a soft gel? The hard vitamins make me queasy and I've had some unpleasant moments. I switched to a softgel multi and the nausea stopped. The ones that're easier on your stomach will say so on the bottle. Good luck!
  • Hope that helps! And Disnyfan is right too. I suggest either taking it at night when the nausea won't be such a problem, or try it with something in your stomach already. I take my multivitamin in the morning, right after breakfast, and then I take my D/Calcium at night.
