Hey,

Im 25yo female who has gained a lot of weight in the past few years and in 2012 decided to do something about it. I then lost 17kg and my weight stopped there.

I'm taking the challenge again, with 1200kcal limit and 6times/week gym excercise. I need some friends here on MFP to keep each other motivated, so pls feel free to add me anyone!

It would be great if I find someone from Göteborg in Sweden, as that's where I live :)

Keep on going everybody.

  • Good luck! When I was in Stockholm and Visby as an overweight man two years ago, I received stares, laughs and comments, so I wonder if your experience is at all the same? I found this odd in light of recent knowledge that one of two top research programs into obesity is in Sweden! Ha,

I am assuming you lost the 17KG before starting MFP, any hints on how you did it? Feel free to FR or write me if you want. Have a blessed weekend. -Tino

Even though I came to Sweden AFTER I lost 17kg so I don't look that fat anymore, it's hard to believe people here laughed at you.. Swedes are very reserved and mind their own business, I never experienced anything like that here, nor saw anybody else beeing laughed or picked at. Maybe it's a question of the city, I live in the friendly Gothenburg, and Stockholm has an opinion of a snobistic posh city...

It's a shame you were unlucky to meet the worst kind of people :/

Yes, it was before MFP and I accomplished it by Dukan's Diet, which I know now is not that good. Right now Im focusing on counting calories and excercise, it feels much better :)
