Hi! I just found out about this site from the TV show I was watching. I am on a mission to lose 110 pounds. I weighed 304 pounds last year and lost down to 250 in 6 months. Then I stopped working. I have not worked very diligently at all this year. I have regained about 19 pounds and have lost 11 pounds since August 6th. I have realized that being healthy is a 24hr a day job and my reward for losing weight should NOT be more food! What worked the best for me was eliminating everything and anything white: no sugar, no flour, no milk, no white pasta, no white rice, no white potatoes. I also drank a lot of water, 64 oz per day, minimum. I have been told recently that for each 25 pounds overweight , I need to add another 8 oz of water. I try to drink about 100 oz water per day now. With the first 54 pounds I lost, I did not eat any processed foods. I only ate fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meat, chicken and turkey, and low sodium "canned" water packed tuna. I only ate sprouted grain breads, brown rice, and rarely I would eat whole grain pasta. I ate nothing "instant", but ate whole oats or steel cut oats. I made my own turkey or chicken sausage and turkey meatloaf and turkey meatballs. The food was delicious! I ate about 6 small meals a day, every 3 hours or so, and it was very successful. I consistently lost about 2-4 pounds per week, sometimes more. I have been trying to get back on that track. The key was being prepared. I cooked my sausage or meatloaf, or grilled/oven roasted chicken or turkey on the weekends and then froze it in serving sizes so I could just pull packages from the freezer to take to work each day. IT WORKED for me! I now want to join people who are trying to lose and who know the struggles of taking it off and trying to keep it off. I am rooting for all of us!!

Hello..Im new as of this morning.. I am excited about this site and losing some baby weight. Even though I dont have as much to lose, I still think I could offer some support. I used to be very into fitness.. went to gym 2 times a day and had trainers and all.. so I do know quite a bit about losing.. its just getting back on track and its SO hard.
I am just trying to lose 10-15 lbs. I now weigh 129 and would like to be at least 120 to fit back into my clothes and feel better. I am a single mother of 9 month old twin boys.0 -
Good for you! I wish I had realized the goodness in trying to lose just 10-15 pounds, or even 5 pounds, when it was ONLY 5-15 lbs!! It IS very hard to get back on track, but, hey, taking the first step is key, and you have done that! And, to have good health not only for you, but for your children is great! You'll be back in those pre-baby clothes in no time!0
