Just signed up for a 5km run

Well using running as my means to get fit and healthy again, just signed up for my first 5km run in Toronto and really looking forward to it. I have 49 days to prepare which will be plenty of time :) anyone else doing this ?

Awesome! I ran my first 5k last June and ended up doing 5 more and a 10k. I am planning to do, hopefully, at least that many this year.
  • Signing up for a race is such motivation! It's even better if you can talk a friend into signing up so that you're held even more accountable! :)

That' great! I'm hoping to do my first 10k in May and I am using it as a huge motivator as well! I have never run a 5K, so it is a little risky going for the 10K haha. Good luck!!!

No, I'm not running in Toronto in 7 weeks. Seriously, good luck 7 weeks will be tight if you are starting at ground zero and your goal is to run it. Best of luck, and if you've been doing cardio prior to this you'll be fine. Enjoy.
